Splash of color

Colored rooms aren't just for the little ones anymore.  Here are some of my favorite spaces with a splash of color.  I'm also drawing inspiration from them for my designs!

Horses Horses Horses Horses

When I was little, I used to write out all the name I would want if I had a hourse, or two, or four. I would go to the track with my Pop-Pop, and while he bet on horses, I would think of what I would name them if they were mine.

Rainbow Sprinkles, Daisy, Thunderbolt, names of that nature.

As I've gotten older, and come to appreciate not only the horse for being the beautiful animal that it is, but the art of racing (which I also learned wasn't only in my blood from going with my grandfather, but literally in my blood as my Great Uncle is in the Hall of Fame for training a Kentucky Derby winner). Thus, I have finally found a name for the horse I will own one day (you didn't think I left my dreams of having one at age 9 did you?).

Here's to my future "Spanish Johnny"

Hey Babe!

Introducing my favorite new craft embellishments to add your wedding day.  My friend Michelle of Hey Babe Studio based in Brooklyn, crafts these amazing pillows, cake toppers, and the like.  I really can't get enough of her creativity.  Particularly the stitched pillows!  If you don't have a ring bearer, go get one, because you NEED this at your wedding to have for generations to come!

What you can do for 3.5 hours on a train

Thank you for all the birthday wishes!  I cannot believe I am 27!  At 25 some say they go through a "quarter life crisis"...  well, that didn't happen for me.  I am going through my quarter life crisis 2 years late at 27.  And by "crisis", I don't mean crisis at all.  I mean that I know exactly where my life is going, and exactly where I want it to go - and it's scary (but exciting) to hold that much control.  I'm kind of freaking out that all this time has gone by since I was 13, 16, 20, etc because it only feels like yesterday.

I think this was due in part to finding some old photos back home in NJ where I grew up.  I scanned them on to my computer and decided that on my 3.5 train ride to NYC this past weekend, that I would create a little montage of the past 27 years.  I didn't think I would be sharing this on my blog to be honest.  It more for me to have to remind me how blessed I am.  But then, I heard this song and realized that life is good for everyone - so why not show you for the sole reason that we really do have nothing to complain about!
