I'm here! Sorry for my slight absence. I've just been making things happen! Stationery, Save the Dates, Wedding invitations - oh my! I've had so much fun designing these items lately, that it really has made me stop and think about my own personality and how I can incorporate it into my work in the areas I haven't already.
How you ask? I've found that my personality comes out with my passion for creating simple, fresh, yet bold designs, and on the highest quality of paper to really make the designs stand out. As I'm designing these aspects, and eventually my new brand - I'm bringing together concepts, organic-ness, images, and a brand that goes back to being authentically me!
This comes with accepting that there can be a perfect in the imperfections. For example, the lobster you see above, and as seen in the last post below. I originally thought I didn't get him right because my watercolors mixed to more of a hot pink than a red. I've now grown to love it and realize not every little thing has to be conformed to match - particularly when it comes to drawing and watercolors.
This is only the beginning, kids! I can't wait to look back on posts like this and see how I tied everything together to update my look and design elements of KBC!

Hot Pink Lobster
I mixed my watercolors wrong and got hot pink! This is a rare gem of the sea - get em' while he's valuable!

GUNG HEI FAT CHOY!
Happy Chinese New Year, everyone! At the stroke of midnight on Wednesday, people in China stepped outside their homes to ring in the New Year expressing their hopes - and fears for the next 12 months.
So channel some of the qualities the Rabbit holds and use them with your hopes, acknowledge your fears, and then ward off those evil spirits and welcome good fortune!
