Afraid, but doing it anyway
I'm starting off 2011 with a lot of promises for KBC and its journey. One of them is depicted loud and clear in the photo above. I've always thought of Kathleen Burlew Creative as giving my own little piece of me to the world, but now I am going to act upon it and starting now you'll see it reflected in my work and my blog.
I was tried of sitting around wishing and hoping that I could do what I see others doing--enter Making Things Happen 2011. An intensive workshop run by Lara Casey, Editor-in-Chief of Southern Weddings Magazine, it makes you dig deep, confront your fear, and then take actions steps to achieving your dream. My fear wasn't that I'm not authentic, or that I wanted to be authentic, it was about owning up to and actually being authentic. I now get to set forth on a journey of living up to my promises. You're going to see a lot coming your way from KBC. So get ready.
I'm so blessed to have met the people that were part of this experience with me. We all now know that life is too short to watch from the sidelines and wish and hope.
I can't wait to see what my journey of hard work unfolds for me.
